Here's a fabulous list of dance films to brighten up your week!

Dance On Screen

1. Nowness | András Ladocsi - Dancing About Architecture: Dürer
Hungarian photographer and cinematographer András Ladocsi presents this transfixing dance film featuring seven dancers. Set in a derelict swimming pool built on the site of a 100-year-old monastery during Hungary’s soviet regime, Dürer reveals the impermanence of buildings, structures, and systems that we are led to believe are infallible.

In Case You Missed It

2. Titiana Varca - Eclipse
Created as part of our Make Your Own Dance Film series, Titana was mentored by Temujin Gill and her film was edited by Roswitha Chesher. Tackling themes of bullying and jelousy, this film is about the need to be independent and self-motivated in these difficult times.

Catch It While You Can

3. English National Ballet - Nutcracker Delights
Filmed at the London Coliseum just before London went into Tier 4, Nutcracker Delights was presented specially for the company's 70th anniversary year. It is available to watch in full online until 23 January.

Feature Length

4. Nikki & JD - Knot
Created in collaboration with Lost Dog's Ben Duke ( who featured on S01 / E06 of Talking Moves), Knot is a physically exhilarating and touchingly poignant show about friendship, told using dance and circus. The show will be streamed for free via Déda's Facebook channel on Thursday 21 January at 7.30pm. In the mean time, here's a trailer:
