This week we are highlighting some more gems from across the web. Some are only available for a short time, so make sure you don't miss out.
1. Sylvie Guillem & Russell Maliphant - PUSH
This legendary production cemented Sylvie Guillem's status as a dance legend when she performed alongside choreographer Russell Maliphant. Don't miss her solo Two which features groundbreaking lighting by Michael Hulls. It's truly mesmerising.
2. Stopgap Dance Company - Artificial Things
Filmed on location in a derelict suburban shopping mall and featuring an ensemble of disabled and non-disabled dancers, the film explores human interdependence, strength, and vulnerability. The film is a re-imagining of the stage work of the same name and dancers Amy Butler, Laura Jones, Chris Pavia, David Willdridge and Dave Toole, who devised the original piece, all appear in the film. The choreographer Lucy Bennett and the film director Sophie Fiennes felt that the themes explored in the film resonate with what the world is experiencing currently.
3. James Cousins Company - Dancing in the Dusk
This beautiful dance was performed in the scenic hills of the Brecon Beacons in South Wales, and was created for NOWNESS's LOVESICK collection.
4. Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater - Excerpt from Revelations
Take 1 minute and 27 seconds out of your day to watch Alvin Ailey's dancers perform the I Been Buked section from Revelations. Not only is the dance incredible, but you get to see inside their homes!
5. Breakin' Convention 2020 - Lockdown? Lock-In!
At the beginning of May, Breakin' Convention (the annual festival of hip hop dance theatre) was supposed to take place at Sadler's Wells. Instead, they put the whole festival, including intros from UK hip hop pioneer and Artistic Director Jonzi D, online. It's nearly 3 hours long - but it's soooo worth it!
