Professional Class: Simonetta Alessandri

Feldenkrais into Improvisation.

Each class starts with a Feldenkrais sequence which questions how specific movement patterns work anatomically. Through observing your own sensations and valuing personal insights, the class will identify habits and clarify choices in order to promote efficiency and freedom. By respecting the internal logic of the body the group will grow from somatic awareness towards working with larger and more complex movement that could expand also into touch. Awareness of the roots of a movement and the emergence of new possibilities gives a reinvigorating sense of ownership and pleasure in dancing.

Through improvisational strategies the group will access a more energetic physicality and a broader awareness of sharing space and time with others.
