Professional Class: Sara Dos Santos

Sara will provide a relaxed, dynamic and technical class intertwining a combination of her favourite styles including Release, Horton and Graham techniques, infusing floor work and contact improvisation.

Highly influenced by music and rhythm, each class will offer participants the opportunity to use a full range of body movements that build up strength, agility, accuracy and flow. Through a variation of sequences, dancers will have the opportunity to experiment with breath, self-expression and draw from personal experience.

Sara Dos Santos

Sara Dos Santos is an independent movement artist and choreographer. Upon graduating from Bird College in 2007 where she studied Musical Theatre and Dance, Sara went on to further her training at Alvin Ailey School in 2010 and explore Afro-Cuban techniques at Cuba Danza with Danza Contemporanea de Cuba in 2012.

Following a successful career as a performer Sara commenced her career as a choreographer in 2011. Her work has been seen at various venues across the UK and beyond such as Peepul Centre (Leicester), Stratford Circus, Sadler's Wells (Lilian Baylis) Rich Mix London, The Peacock Theatre and so on.

Sara’s current artistic focus is researching philosophies and exploring methodologies that interweave dance theatre, therapeutic methods and story-telling mediums. Her thought-provoking and emotionally charged work tackles a variety of social and political issues that raise awareness and inspire change through dance theatre productions
