Megan's classes draw on principals of release technique incorporating deep anatomical explorations, image based work and set movement material . Improvisation is used as a tool to move through solo work into duet/group moving and set material. These classes will focus on tuning our awareness to connection, bringing focus into present experience and seeking clarity of form. Classes are open to experienced disabled and non-disabled movement practioners. We will dance with rigorous questions, to be in dialogue with ourselves and others, and to have fun!

Class tutor

Megan Armishaw
Megan is an independent dance artist based in London. She holds a BA and Masters in Dance performance from TrinityLaban, and is currently a company dancer with Candoco Dance Company. Since joining Candoco in 2015 she has performed work by Trisha Brown, Thomas Hauert, Hetain Patel, Jérôme Bell and Yasmeen Godder. As an independent artist Megan has performed seminal work by Yvonne Rainer and specialises in collaborative, multidisciplinary projects working with artists from music, theatre and the visual arts. She has an ongoing teaching practice and leads sessions on behalf of Candoco and independently in various settings in the UK and internationally. These range from classes for beginners through to professionals and facilitators.
