Professional Class: Eleesha Drennan

Eleesha teaches a rigorous and energetic contemporary technique class that develops expansive movement and clarity of form. Her class is developed around her own detailed movement language and is informed by principals of Cunningham and release technique. The class places a great importance on musicality and imagery to increase the range of textures available to the body. Fusingtogether a unique blend of principals, the class aims to develop efficiency, power and articulation to facilitate creative expression.

Eleesha Drennan

Eleesha Drennan is an award winning dance artista based in London. She performed in National Dance Company Wales from 2004-2013 and became House Choreographer in 2011. Awarded first prize for 'Whiskers' at the Solo Dance Theatre Festival Stuttgart and is a Sky Academy Arts Scholar. Eleesha Drennan Dance was formed in 2015 for the creation of Channel Rose.

Eleesha has worked with a wide range of renowned choreographers including Ohad Naharin, Christopher Bruce, Itzik Galili Nigel Charnock, Angelin Preljocaj and Stephen Petronio. She has performed with I Fagiolini, Gwyn Emberton Dance and undertook the Performance Mentoring Programme with Kerry Nicholls Dance. Choreography commissions include Studio Wayne McGregor, London College of Fashion, EDge, Intoto, Fertile Ground, Maiden Voyage, National Youth Dance Wales, RDC Youth, Bold Tendencies and Matthew Herbert. Eleesha has taught as a guest teacher for ProDanceLeeds, Maiden Voyage Dance Company, NDC Wales, NSCD, Rambert Dance School and The Place. The next creation for Eleesha Drennan Dance is currently underway.
