Professional Class: Akeim Toussaint
Saturday 30 March
Professional Class 10:30-12:00 (£5.50)
Akeim Toussaint's class will be inspired by Contemporary Techniques (Graham, Release, Cunningham), Caribbean Dance, Animal Flow, Yoga and Capoeira. This class will seek liberation and flow of movement, by strengthening your rootedness to the earth. Finding elasticity of your core and challenging yourself through endurance and dynamics. From shifting your weight, to slicing space, changing levels and textures of movement. The class will integrate patterns and rhythms, travelling through the room. Inviting an acute focus, finding accuracy in technique, breath, clarity and freedom. In a playful environment we will revitalise our senses, build strength, stamina and open our awareness.
Class will be accompanied by live music (beat box)!
Suitable for advanced degree students, recent graduates and professionals
Under 16? Akeim will also lead a creative aftrernoon workshop (15:45-17:00) for ages 13-19yrs, available to book separately here. (£4)
