Limitless Day of Dance

Sunday 10 March

Academy Performing Arts and Greenwich Dance are coming together to offer an exciting day of dance designed to empower and inspire young women aged 13 – 19 years living in the borough of Greenwich.

With our national obsession with reality TV and celebrity culture showing no sign of abating, this project sets out to explore issues of body image, identity and self-confidence for young women in 2019.

Hosted by Ali Steele, director of Academy Performing Arts and delivered by Colleen Joseph from Greenwich Dance, this fun and creative day will bring young women together to talk about the issues facing young women of today. The day will progress into dance-based activities to help young women appreciate their own bodies and its capabilities and learn to respect each other and themselves: discovering through dance how to find inner strength and balance this with outer strength in order to find a β€˜me’ they are happy with being.

Venue: Academy Performing Arts, Artillery Square, Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, London SE18 6ST

Cost: FREE but you must book your place as spaces are limited

Bring comfortable clothing, plenty of water and a packed lunch. No fizzy drinks please.
