Tuesdays 17:30-18:30
This class takes place on Zoom

Please note, the Zoom link can be found in your confirmation email after booking. Contact Chenube@greenwichdance.org.uk if you encounter any issues.

This class focuses on core strength, gravity, musicality, and dynamics. The warm-up aims to awaken the body’s awareness through alignment, touching on the idea of presence and mindfulness.

We progress from simple to more complex exercises leading to dynamic sequences, playing between set movement and individual exploration. Class aims to find ways in which dance technique can be influenced by somatic practices without losing its rigour and precision and sense of emotional connectedness.

Maria da Luz is interested in an open and inclusive approach to dance regardless of experience and ability. Classes can be adapted to your own space, including being experienced from a seated position.
